Hello,
What about some nail art with polishes from The New Black?
Today I have the set called Tabolid Sensations to show you! This set is part of the Subculture - Contemporary Neons collection and is made of 2 polishes: a super bright fuchsia creme and a coral with a beautiful gold shimmer.
The New Black polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, camphor, and DBP. Each polish holds 0.125 oz/3.7 mL of nail polish.
Hello!
I hope you all had a nice weekend!
Today I have swatches of Essie DJ Play That Song (Neon 2013) collection! I received them as part of my essie girl prize. This collection is made of 6 neon polishes but essie forgot to send me Bottle Service, a medium hot pink. So keep in mind that there is one more shade in this collection.

Hello,
Another quick post because I'm quite busy at the moment. I wore this polish some time ago and I just loved it so much! I've got to wear it again ;D
Hello,
There is one more polish in this collection, a blue one called Quel bleu turquoise. I didn't pick it because the color didn't call my name but I guess it's also quite pretty.
I'm glad to show you some polishes from the new Catrice Limited Edition called "L'Afrique, c'est chic"! This collection is supposed to be available in stores in August and September but I've already spotted it here in Switzerland and it has also already been seen in Germany.
When I saw this collection, I got super excited because the 5 polishes from this collection have a sand finish! I think it's the first textured polishes that Catrice or essence are launching and I was very curious to see how they would look ;D

Oh! I also got a new camera lens! I will probably keep swatching with my old camera at least for some time but I also tried to take some pictures with my DSLR camera and the new macro lens to see what I could do ;) They are the pictures with the giraffe background. Yay for my Black Milk Baby Giraffe leggings that I used to do the "African background" lol
NB: The 4 polishes of this collection are textured creme polishes. They do not contain any sparkly glitters. L'orange and Sunny Side are less textured than Rouge, Bien Sûr and So Classy.
The first polish is called "L'Orange". It's obviously not orange but more a terracotta kind of orangy-beige if that makes sense. I applied 2 coats. One coat is enough to obtain full opacitiy but I added a second coat to get more textured particles.
This color is the color that I usually pick when I want something neutral and I think this textured polish is just the perfect twist for a neutral but funky manicure!

Sunny Side is yellow textured polish. It's less pigmented than L'orange but 2 coats were enough.
A yellow textured polish? I say a big "yes"! I love this one so much!! It's so perfect for summer and I'm pretty sure I'll wear it again!
Rouge, Bien Sûr is a red texture polish with some berry undertones. It's very well pigmented, 1 coat would be enough but I used 2 coats here.
In this one and in So Classy, the textured particles are denser and more visible than in the 2 other polishes. I actually wore it for 5 days and really loved wearing it! Its lasting power it quite nice since it started chipping only after day 5.
Finally we have So Classy, a brown textured polish. I also used 2 coats.
I think this one is my least favorite. I guess this is due to the color that is more fall appropriate. But I'm looking forward to wearing it in fall!
Overall I'm super happy with the polishes from this collection! I was waiting for Catrice to launch some textured polishes and I'm not disappointed.
When first trying them I preferred Sunny Side and L'orange because they are less textured but finally I wore Rouge, Bien Sûr (RBS) as a full manicure because it was the last one I swatched and I loved wearing it so much and its very rough side didn't bother me.
To me Sunny Side is the must-have from this collection! It's so original and lovely! I also really like L'orange becaue it's a funny way to wear a neutral polish.
Formula is very good for the 4 polishes. They are very pigmented and are easy to work with. Drying time was also rather fast. And...the brushes were good on all the 4 polishes!

Hello,
Today's post is my very first gradient manicure! I did it as part of my first post as an essie girl. Maybe you remember I entered a contest Essie Switzerland was organizing and I was lucky to be one of the 5 winners. I'd like to take this opporuntity to thank again everyone who voted for me!
From now on, every week, the 5 essie girls will publish a post on Essie Switzerland Facebook page. You can follow us here.
Hello!
It's been more than a year since I last tried a water marble. I was in a mood for a subtle, clean, and neutral look but wanted a little extra. That's why I decided to go for a neutral fall shade and an accent nail done with the water marble technique.

Hello!
As promised here are my swatches of the gorgeous glitter polishes from the indie brand, Shimer Polish.

I wanted to show you the polishes under different angles so there are a lot of pictures! They are all super shimmery and packed with a lot of glitters! I used only 1 coat of glitter over a base color. If you want more opacity, you will need three coats to get full opactiy.
Hello!
I did this manicure as part of the Sunday Nail Battle, which is organised by Odile from Odile Sacoche, and Andreia from 10tubes, with also the participation of Pshiiit, whose you must all know!
The theme of this week was Graffiti nails and we had to use neon polishes.
So here is what I came up with.
Hello!
Here I come with the second part of OPI Germany collection for Fall/Winter 2012. If you missed the first part, you can click here to see it. As I said in my previous post, I decided to divide this collection into two posts. The first one focussed on the 6 cremes in this collection while this second post will be about the 6 other shades that I called "the vibrant gems". I called them like that because they are really deep, shiny, almost metallic but not exactly and have this glow-from-within touch that make a polish so precious and gorgeous!

Hello!!
I have a gorgeous nail polish related item to show you today. They are polish earrings! I think it's so sophisticated ans smart to wear coordinate nail polish and earrings, isn't it?
I received these pretty earrings from Star Trinkets. She has recently opened an etsy shop and sells different sorts of nail polish jewellery and also her own line of polishes.
What I like about it is that you can custom your earrings, keychains, bobby pins, pendants and so on with your favorite polish.
I chose dangling earrings with cute flower charms and Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings for the polish.

I've got a Chinese polish to show today! This polish is called Dark Orange Gold Dust and the brand is Ebalay. You might have already heard about this brand because they launched a collection of duochrome polishes that seem quite interesting. You can see the bottles here.
For the pictures below, I used only one coat of Dark Orange Gold Dust without top coat. This mani was done super quickly, with just 1 single coat!!

I wanted to try this polish because I was convinced it would look awesome mattified! And oh yeah, I was not wrong! Look at this gorgeous polish mattified!!

| 1 coat of Ebalay - Dark Orange Gold Dust mattified with essence - soft touch polish. |
Final verdict: I simply LOVE how it looks mattified! One coat of matte top coat and you have a gorgeous shimmery matte polish! It reminds me of OPI Suede in terms of texture and finish. The main color is a dark orange packed with lots of fine gold and red particles. It's not super obvious when you look at the bottle or your nails to see it, but I think there must also be some silver particles because when I took it off, I could see a silver layer forming under the orange...exactly in the same way as when I take off my OPI Suede (e.g., We'll always have Paris Suede). If you don't mattify it, it's really shimmery and pretty but I really the matte version. The formula is a bit thick but not unmanageable. Opacitiy is really good. You need only 1 coat to get full opacity and the polish seems to have self-leveling properties. The only complaint I have is that it chipped after only one day....but I think it's still worth it because I love its matte version so much! I would definitely wear it again!

I wanna try the violet purple now!! :D

Hello!
I've an Ozotic comparison to show you today: 502 vs 520.
I wanted to do this comparison because when I wanted to buy some Ozotic, I couldn't really tell the difference between those 2 according to the pictures I saw on the internet. So I hope this post will be useful for some of you :D
Final verdict: When they are side by side, they look completely different! 520 is warmer than 502.
520 shifts from rusty burgundy to red, to amber, to gold, and to orange while 502 shifts from gold to orange, to a light red with a touch of pink in it. On these pictures, I used 2 coats of 520 and 3 coats of 502 to reach full opacity. I didn't use a black or dark base coat. Of course, you can do it to save polish and to get a slightly different effect.
