Hi everyone,

As promised here are my swatches of the gorgeous glitter polishes from the indie brand, Shimer Polish.
I wanted to show you the polishes under different angles so there are a lot of pictures! They are all super shimmery and packed with a lot of glitters! I used only 1 coat of glitter over a base color. If you want more opacity, you will need three coats to get full opactiy.

Hello!!
Do you remember the HazeGlaze polishes I showed you in a previous post? If you don't, you can see them here.
Today, I have some swatches of Elphaba, one of the polish of HazeGlaze's Wicked Glitter Nail Polish Trio. This small collection is made of 3 polishes in mini format. Each polish is inspired by Hazel's (the creator of HazeGlaze) favorite musicals of all time - Wicked the Musical! I will show you the 3 polishes but I'll start with my favorite, Elphaba.
This polish is described by Hazel as follows.
Elphaba is sheer slightly green glitter bomb packed with fine green and holographic glitter, copper, emerald, light green, olive, gold and black hexagons in various sizes. So unique and beautiful just like Elphie herself.

Hello!
I was super lucky this week because I received 3 nail mails! woooow~
The first one is my order from the Free Friday Polish from Llarowe. I was lucky to be able to buy 2 Lynnderella (Snow Angel and Very Pretty Vampire) and as I was one of the 10th orders, I won a free polish! *lucky!!* So I chose Lynnderella - The Glittering Crowd. Moreover, there was also a game on Llarowe FB page and I was also super lucky to win it!! You had to guess which polishes Leah Ann layered for her mani and if you won, you could chose one of these polishes! and I chose Picture Polish - Festival! Yay, flakies!
I also received my the polishes from my amazing swap with Traci from the Trace Face Philes! Yay~ I love all the polishes she sent me and I can already imagine doing candy or sandwich manicures with the jellies!
In Grapefruit Fizz, you really have the smell of grapefruit. This is so yummy!
Traci also sent me a lovely card and some sweets! I loved the peanut butter cups!! We don't have peanut butter here so I really enjoyed these sweets!! Thank you so much Traci!!
And finally I also received a package from Lyncia. We talk about polishes in a FB group and she found China Glaze Fireside Glow and asked if somebody wanted it! She was super nice to pick it and send it to me! I also asked for Essie As Gold As It Gets because I really wanted this polish! Thanks a million, Lyncia!!
I'm so excited now!! I have a lot of new polishes to try and to show you!! And once again, I'd love to thank Leah Ann from Llarowe, Traci from The Trace Face Philes, and Lyncia!! Thank you so much, ladies!
Now I really have to stop buying too many polishes!!lol I'm offically on a no-buy now...

Hello~
What about some flakies?
What about some flakies?
I previously showed you Zoya - Yasmeen, which is my base color for the following mani. I added 2 thin coats of Ludurana - Sol on top of it. Sol is made of a clear base with flakies that shift from red/copper to orange, yellow and green.
/!\ Be aware that Ludurana flakies will be soon discontinued so if you love one of them (or more of them :p), you shouldn't wait for too long before buying them or you soon won't be able!
The following pictures were taken in natural light. It shows the base color (Yasmeen) and the flakies their usual, most accurate look....I mean, what you see most of the time...

Hi there~
Have you ever dreamt you could make all your favorite colors holo? If that's the case, I think you'll be happy to know Silver 3D/Holographic by Glitter Gal.
First, let's see how Silver looks on its own.
So I've finished reviewing my Glitter Gal polishes and I must admit I was really blown away by their quality and awesomeness. They are so holographic! Luckily there are other great colors you can get from this brand. I'm aldready writing my Xmas wish list!!
Have you ever dreamt you could make all your favorite colors holo? If that's the case, I think you'll be happy to know Silver 3D/Holographic by Glitter Gal.
First, let's see how Silver looks on its own.
This is literally a rainbow polish. It's so shiny and cheerful with this amazing linear holo pattern.
The only downside of it is that's it's quite sheer...on the above pictures, I wore 4 coats. You will need 3-4 coats to reach full opacity. However, it's drawback is also one of its greatest strenght IMO. Why? Because you can use it as a holo top coat to make any polish holo!
So I tried to layer it (one thin coat) over different colors and here is the result! Stunning!

OMG! Isn't it amazing!!!! I was so enthusiastic, I had to try to layer it over different colors and I think I love all the combos! If you were lemming for My Private Jet (OPI), I think you can do a combo with Silver (Glitter Gal) to get a nearly dupe for it :D The same goes for most OPI DS, I belive...!!
What's your favorite combo?

Hi there~
Forget Me Not is on my index and middle finger and Mimi on my ring finger (3rd nail from the left).
The main difference between them is the opacity. FMN is more opaque. On this picture I used 2 coats for both polishes. You can clearly see that you have some visible nail line with Mimi (2 coats) while FMN is totally opaque.
Can you see any differences here? Forget Me Not (Catrice) is on my index and middle finger and Mimi (Zoya) on my ring finger and pinkie.
Today I have a comparison post between 2 lovely purple polishes: Mimi (Zoya) and Forget Me Not (Catrice). In the following text, I'll use the abbreviation FMN for Forget Me Not.
I previously swatched Mimi here and did a Zoya purple comparison there.
I previously swatched Mimi here and did a Zoya purple comparison there.
Both of them are royal purple with microglitters.
Forget Me Not is on my index and middle finger and Mimi on my ring finger (3rd nail from the left).
Honestly it's very very hard to see any difference between FMN and Mimi. However, when you apply the first layer of polish, you can spot some pink microglitters in Mimi that you don't have in FMN. In FMN you rather have some silver microglitters which are slightly smaller than Mimi's. Nevertheless the overwhole effect (color) is nearly the same in both polishes. Even in sunlight, you can't really tell the difference between them. This tiny difference in glitters (pink vs silver) is no more visible when you apply a 2nd coat of polish.
The main difference between them is the opacity. FMN is more opaque. On this picture I used 2 coats for both polishes. You can clearly see that you have some visible nail line with Mimi (2 coats) while FMN is totally opaque.
However, if you apply 3 coats of Mimi, look at what you get.
Can you see any differences here? Forget Me Not (Catrice) is on my index and middle finger and Mimi (Zoya) on my ring finger and pinkie.
So finally I would say that FMN and Mimi are really close. From a color and texture point of view, I would say they are identical. In my opinion, the only difference lay in their opacity. FMN is more opaque. Application was easy with both polishes.
Hello~
As I broke 2 nails on my swatching hand when I came back from holiday, I will show you pictures I took before........when my nails were all right ;D So I will have to wait a little before trying and showing my new polishes from Korea...saaaaaaad!!
But I have great stuff to show so it's also fun!
My nail of the day will be Tiffany from Zoya Fire & Ice Collection (Winter/Holiday 2010). Tiffany is a peachy, coppery polish with a gorgeous gold shimmer and a foil finish. The color is a rather neutral color (not too much in your face) but the bright shimmer makes it more special and interesting. I like this kind of shades when you want something subtle yet unique.
Application was super easy, it's not too thick nor too thin. You get easily a smooth and even look. So the formula of this polish was great. I applied 3 coats.

Final verdict: I ended up liking this polish a hundred times better than I tought I would. From the swatches and comments I saw I tought it was not that great but OMG I was really impressed by it and it's now among my favorites. I'm glad I ordered it. The color and finish are really interesting and was so easy to apply that I really love it.

Lolly-pop!
Hi there~
And a small add-on on my Nail de Royale package.
I hope you're all doing well.
As told you in my previous article, I got some samples from Nail de Royale, an online shop where you can buy some great nail polishes (Zoya, Nubar, Essie, OPI, Orly, CND,...) and some cool nail art products.
So today, I'll present Lolly (Zoya). This polish is from Zoya Mod Mattes Collection (Summer 2011). This is a "bold, saturated medium magenta pink cream with a velvety matte finish" according to Zoya.
![]() |
Lolly (Zoya), 2 coats, with flash |
I must addmit I've never been a matte lover but this may be because I've never tried any matte before (only semi matte which I do like very much). But, you know, I've never been really attracted to it...
However, I've completely changed my mind since I've tried the lovely Lolly. It looks really cool on your nails. I think you have to try matte polish to really enjoy them. I think I'm hooked now... ;D
The final look is really smooth and soft when you touch it. But the application was a little difficult. Out of 10 nails, I had to redo 3. I used a base coat on every nails but then on the 3 nails I did again, I skipped the base coat step and application seemed a little easier.
On the other hand, it's been 3 days since I'm wearing Lolly and still no chips. So the lasting power is not bad at all for a matte polish.

I then also added some stamping. I used Konad image plate m69 and Sarah (Zoya) to stamp. Sarah is bright shimmery red. You can see its swatch here.

And a small add-on on my Nail de Royale package.
As I said, they sell nail polishes and nail art products. I showed you the purple glitters and green stars in a previous post. As suggested by Serendipitously from Mommy Does Her Nails, the purple glitters might be great to use to do a franken polish. I might have to try this...no...I want to try this!
And some words about the nail art brush. I've tried it and it's perfect to creat nice and pretty nail arts. The brush is easy to use and really thin so that you can draw very thin lines very easily.

Black and Red
Hi there~
After 3 days, I added OPI Black Shatter on top give Sarah a different look.
I added a medium coat of Black Shatter. I think it's the best way to have a lot of thin crackles.
Today I was in a "red mood"! I chose the lovely Sarah from Zoya Fire & Ice Collection (Winter/Holiday 2010). This collection consists of 6 shimmery and glittery metallic polishes.
Sarah is described by Zoya as
Pearls of dark fuchsia, red-violet and ruby tones in a bright sparkle finish. A very rich and different shade of cool red sparkle that will stand out in a crowd.
It's a really rich and deep red, you know this kind of red that is getting a little darker on the edges of the nails. It's really really sparkly (much more than the pictures can show, beleve me). It has a foil/metallic finish (but with a lot of sparkles). It somehow reminds me of OPI Let Me Entertain You except LMEY is more fushia toned and Sarah is more red toned. But they have the same kind of finish and sparkles.
Considering the angle at which the light hits your nails, you can see some fushia undertones, even some gold. I would say that the color shifts from red to fushia according to the light. Nevetheless, it's not a reall duochrome because it's more a gradual change and the color are not completely different.
Application was really good, I used 3 coats but I think you can go with only 2.

Can you see all the different shades of red here? It's due to the sparkles in Sarah but it was really hard to capture these sparkles in a picture. Belive me, it's amazingly sparkly. |
