Review of a cushion foundation I got recently and this might even be my all time favorite cushion foundation! This is O HUI Ultimate Cover Cushion Moisture!

 

This cushion is available in a regular packaging all year round but recently O Hui came up with a special set in collaboration with Asiana Airlines. I got it in June if I'm not wrong and I think it's a bit difficult to find it now as it was a limited edition. That said as I really love this cushion I wanted to review it here because you can still get the normal edition that is as I said one of my favorite cushion now!

Today I have a review of some Clio products that I got from Jolse.com. Clio is a super famous Korean makeup brand that I've been wanting to try for years. Not sure why I haven't tried it earlier though...

If you don't know the brand, Clio is a professional makeup brand à la MAC. They have very good quality products and are famous for their base and foundation makeup as well as their lipsticks.

Peripera (their Ink velevet lip tints are amazing by the way) and Goodal (review of their Greeen Tangerine Honey Cream here) were developed under the umbrella of Club Clio. They have also recently launched 2 new brands, Healing Bird and Dermatory (I want to try this brand so much!).

A new Dior cushion? I say "yes"! :D Do you remember the Dior Capture Totale DreamSkin Perfect Skin Cushion that was realeased last year? I had a review here and if you want to know more about cushions in terms of makeup, I also invite you to go back to my previous article. The Capture Totale cushion is a tinted moisturizer whereas the new DiorSkin Forever cushion is a real cushion foundation that provides medium to high coverage with a matte finish.

In the title, I called this box the October box because I received it mid October but I realized that Etude House called it the September Box...but that's not very important :D

Did you say cushion? So wait, here I am!

You probably know that I'm a huuuuge fan of cushion foundations. I've been using this type of foundation for about 2 years now and almost haven't used traditional foundations ever since.

So when I heard that Dior was releasing one, I was super excited! I was even more excited when I heard that Dior was cooperating with Amore Pacific to manufacture their foundation. Amore Pacific owns Iope, which is the company that launched the cushion foundation that started all the craze around cushion foundations in Korea back in 2008. So when I heard that Dior was dealing with Amore I was relived that we wouldn't get the weird kitchen-sponge-type of cushion we've seen in other western cushions (phew...) plus we would have rubycell puffs.

Today I have a review of the newest Estée Lauder foundation, namely EL Double Wear Makeup to Go Liquid Compact. Let me tell you that when I heard that Estée Lauder would release a liquid compact foundation I was overly happy because I love liquid compact foundations. If you know me well, you know that I love Korean cushion foundations and that's why I also decided to do at the end of this post a comparison of the cushions that I own and this new Estée Lauder foundation.

Have you heard of cushion foundation or bb/cc cushion? 

This type of fundation comes from Korea and is really, really popular there. Cushion fundations were launched a few years ago in Korea and are slowly making their way to Europe. Lancôme and Kiko have both just released their cushions.

For those who are not familiar with cushion foundations, it is basically a cushion (or sponge) soaked in foundation and housed in a compact.

Today I will show you my first cushion foundation. It's Hera UV Mist Cushion. I've been using it for about 5 weeks and sincerely I cannot live without it now. It changed my life!
