A new Dior cushion? I say "yes"! :D Do you remember the Dior Capture Totale DreamSkin Perfect Skin Cushion that was realeased last year? I had a review here and if you want to know more about cushions in terms of makeup, I also invite you to go back to my previous article. The Capture Totale cushion is a tinted moisturizer whereas the new DiorSkin Forever cushion is a real cushion foundation that provides medium to high coverage with a matte finish.

The DiorSkin Forever Perfect Cushion is a medium to medium-high coverage foundation, it's buidable. It dries down to a beautiful velvety matte finish that looks alive and luminous. What I first noticed when I used it is how beautiful the finish is. It really covers the imperfections without looking heavy and it smoothes the skin and don't emphasize pores at all but rather hide them. The skin looks even and super smooth. That's what impresses me the most!
If you have dry skin, don't forget to moisturize correctly before applying it because it may cling to dry patches a bit. I have normal skin so I'm not 100% sure of this but it is the impression I have.
I can wear it for a full day and haven't noticed that it wears off during the day. I haven't noticed that it oxidizes. The color I have here (030) is too dark and yellow for me so as soon as I have finished my current foundation, I will purchase it in 010 because I love it!!
Overall, I'm really impressed by the finish. I usually go for dewy low coverage foundations but this Dior cushion foundation reconciles me with matte finish 100%! It definitely looks gorgeous, it refines the skin texture and drastically reduce the appearance of pores. The skin looks flawless!

Dior products can be purchased from your regular Dior counter (e.g., Sephora, Selfridges, Nordstrom) or directly through dior.com. In Switzerland you can find them at Manor, Douglas, Marionnaud, and Jelmoli for example.

ReplyDeleteIt's indeed awesome to travel with! It's a bit different than the Forever foundation, it's less matte (but note that I used the Forever foundation a long time ago so I don't remember exactly how it is :p )
