OPI Fiji Collection - Nail Art and PR info

9:30 PM

Hi there!

OPI has a new collection and it's inspired by the beautiful Fiji islands! It will be available soon in Switzerland (Feb 8th, 2017) :D

The collection consists of 12 polishes. They are all available in normal formula (nail lacquer formula), in Infinite Shine and in Gel Color. I will have swatches of the 12 polishes very soon but for now I have a nail art I did with some of the blue colors of this collection. It reminds me of an ocean and I think it's suits perfectly the Fiji theme! :D
I actually did this nail art to celebrate Fanny's birthday on Instagram a few weeks ago.

For this manicure I started with 1 coat of OPI Super Trop-i-cal-i-fiji-istic! It's a once coater :D
When the first coat was dried, I applied a second coat of Suzi Without A Padlle and immediately dabbed some saran wrap to create a marble effect as explained here. Then I applied some strokes of Do You Sea What I Sea? directly on the saran wrap gathered into a ball and dabbed it on the nails. I repeated this step with I Can Never Hut Up.

Finally I stamped with OPI Never Have Too Mani Friends (black from the Hello Kitty collection) using Moyou London Holy Shapes 04 image plate.

For info, to keep my cuticles clean while doing the marble (it can get a bit messy), I used some peel off tape from Nurbesten.de (10% off coupon code: VUL10). They work great to protect your cuticles and skin and avoid them to get covered in nail polish when you do nail art (e.g., for stamping, water marble, saran wrap marbles,...). They are adjustable and should fit all nails/cuticles. You can reuse them once or twice.

On my nails: Super Trop-i-cal-i-fiji-istic
