OPI LAUNCHES NEW ORLEANS COLLECTION FEATURING TWELVE NEW SHADES FOR SPRING 2016
“The colors of New Orleans are more vibrant than ever, and we celebrate them wholeheartedly with our spring collection,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador. “New Orleans is a place to recharge and revel. One where the atmosphere is delightfully diverse, where the food is epic and where music feeds the soul. We hope we've bottled up a little of that special NOLA culture, all while supporting the city's remarkable renaissance."
New Orleans Collection by OPI features 12 gorgeous new nail lacquers and matching GelColors. I'm happy to show you swatches of the 12 colors ;)
I Manicure for Beads - Throw me nothing but this luscious purple crème!
Perfect formula and almost opaque in 1 coat. I used 2 here.
Spare Me a French Quarter? - Say oui-oui to this mellowed raspberry crème.
Perfect formula and almost opaque in 1 coat. I used 2 here.
Let Me Bayou a Drink - This refreshing blush pink is my treat
This one has a thinner consistency and requires between 2 and 3 coats.
Humidi-Tea - Beat the heat in this nude shimmer.
It requires 3 coats for full coverage.
Suzi Nails New Orleans - This light, bright pink hits the spot for chic.
I used 2 coats here. The color is more vibrant in real life. It's a super bright medium pink. Maybe it has some neon pigments in it because my camera couldn't handle it very well, sorry.
She’s a Bad Muffuletta! - Don’t mess with this hot red crème!
I used 2 coats. This one is also super bright and bold. It's a perfect shade for summer!
Got Myself into a Jam-balaya - A yummy mélange of spice and creamy peach.
It requires between 2 and 3 coats to get fully opaque. The consistency is a bit thin but manageable.
As Suzi Nails New Orleans, it's much more vibrant in real than what you can see on my picture. It's also a super cute and fun color for spring!
Crawfishin’ for a Compliment - This light, creamy orange is perfect on me, isn’t it?
It's a bit patchy in 2 coats so I had to use 3. It's also a super vibrant color. It almost looks like it has neon pigments in it.
Take a Right on Bourbon - An intoxicatingly, warm metallic pewter.
I used 2 coats. It's not very streaky but it shows every imperfection of your nails.
I’m Sooo Swamped! - This verdant, creamy green is drenched in style.
Great formula, opaque in 2 coats. The color is gorgeous. Do I need to add something else? Oh yes! I love it!
Rich Girls & Po-Boys - Make a date with this china blue crème.
Great formula, opaque in 2 coats. That's also a lovely shade, super pretty for spring!
Show Us Your Tips! - Let’s see how this periwinkle shimmer looks on you.
Formula is rather thin. 3 coats are required to reach full opacity. And wow this shade is unique in my stash and so pretty! That's a must-have.
Overall, this is a super bright and fun collection for spring/summer. I really love the bold cremes, such as I Manicure For Beads (the purple; it must be one of my favorites), I'm Sooo Swamped! (the green), She's A Bad Muffuletta! (the coral-red), Got Myself Into A Jam-balaya (the peachy-pink). I also love Humidi-Tea because it's a delicate and gorgeous nude, very unique!
And you, which one is your favorite?
