M·A·C Wash & Dry collection - My picks

12:21 AM

Hello,

M·A·C has just released its summer collection here in Switzerland and I'm super excited to show you what I picked!

First of all, the packaging is just gorgeous with this beautiful teal-to-yellow gradient. It looks so summery!

I took many pictures! Just as for the Toledo collection I love the packaging so much that I really enjoyed photographing this collection!

At first I only wanted to pick a blush or a bronzer and decided to go back home with Frenshen Up (High-Light Powder) but then I innocently tried Monday Blues when I was at Douglas and really liked how glossy it looked that I decided to pick it, too. And then...well...I took the other polish and a lipstick :p

Nail Polishes - Monday Blues & Washteria
OK, let's start with the 2 polishes of this collection.
Monday Blues is a gorgeous dark blue creme polish and Washeteria is a pretty teal creme.
Both polishes are very pigmented. For perfect coverage I used 2 coats.
Washteria is really gorgeous (it's slightly more green than what you can see in my pictures). Be sure to apply a base coat because it can lightly stain your nails. With a base coat, there is no problem (because this is a light stain) but better be warned.

As the colors work great together, I decided to combine them in a nail art!
I used Nail Vinyls Chevron by NailVinyls that I bought form Hypnotic Polish to creat the design. It's super easy and it creates a nice effect.

High-Light Powder - Freshen Up
It's a tri-colored powder that consists of a warm medium coral with red undertones, a sweet peach, a yellow banana with a satin finish. There is a shimmery golden overspray but it disappears upon the first application considering it's just an overspray.
On my NC15 skintone, Freshen Up can definitely be used as a blush with a good color payoff. I was surprized because I thought it would look lighter on me. It's easily blendable so it's easy to control the amount of color you want on your cheeks. It gives a very nice and fresh look and I love it! I'm really happy I got it!

Lipstick - Steam Heat
The lipstick addict that I am couldn't not get one of the lipsticks.
Steam Heat is described as a vivid yellow-red with a satin finish. It's a medium red with warm undertones. In the bullet, it looks brighter than it does on the lips. It's definitely a medium-to slightly dark red on the lips.
It has a good pigmentation and allows smooth application. It lasts on me about 6 hours before I need to reapply it. It survives small collations and coffee but will disappear when you eat a lunch or dinner. It's neither drying nor hydrating.

So...what do you think about this collection? Did you get something or do you intend to get something?
