OPI - Fifty Shades of Grey collection
11:02 PM
Hi beautiful people!
Originally I had scheduled this article yesterday but it was such a sad day that I couldn't resign myself to posting anything on the blog. And I don't really know what to say about what happened because I'm still in a shock. #JeSuisCharlie
Anway, let's get back to what this blog is dedicated for: beauty! And today I have swatches of OPI next collection inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey!
The collection will be availble in Switzerland very soon (launch: January 19th, 2015).
Cement The Deal - I’d sign anything to get my hands on this stony, cool gray.
This is a gorgeous cool toned light grey creme. I love creme polishes and I love grey polishes so yep, it's a perfect polish for me :D
The texture was a bit watery but easy to work with. I used 2 coats here but depending on how you polish your nails, you might have to use 3.
Embrace The Gray - Let this chic, moody gray crème become one with you.
It's a medium cool toned grey creme. Again, I think it's a very trendy color for nail polishes and it looks classy.
Formula is similar to Cement The Deal. I used 2 coats.
Dark Side Of the Mood - This brooding, stormy charcoal is dangerously gorgeous.
It's a dark charcoal creme. No surprise for me, I love this shade :D
Formula-wise, it's similar to the 2 other creme polishes of the collection, a bit watery and opaque in 2-3 coats. I used 2.
My Silk Tie - This silky, gleaming silver has got me all tied up.
It's a metallic shimmery polish. It's on the sheer side but get opaque with 3 coats.

I'm sure this one would look awesome associated with a dark creme such as Dark Side Of The Mood.
Romantically Involved - I’m in a deep relationship with this luscious crème red.
The only non-grey polish of the collection is a warm red creme.
I used 2 coats.
Shine for Me - This shimmering silver with subtle blue sparkle really turns me on!
It's made of thousands of silver microglitters and small blue glitters. This polish is a big surprise! I completely fell in love with it! The addition of the blue glitters is a great idea!
It can either be built to full opacity with 3 coats or be layered over another polish to add a touch of sparkle.

For the following pictures, I did a gradient with Shine For Me over My Silk Tie. I love love love this combo!!
I'm super happy with this collection because I think grey cremes always look classy and elegant. I also love that this collection offers different shades of grey (light, medium, and dark grey) but also different finishes (creme, metallic, glitter).
If you're interested in the whole collection but don't want to buy 6 full-size bottles, a pack with the 6 mini polishes of the collection is available.
