Yves Saint Laurent - Première Neige
10:45 PMHello,
A place of honor for Yves Saint Laurent Première Neige top coat from Northern Lights Holiday 2012 collection today on my blog!
Première Neige is a clear base polish packed with tiny multi-chromatic flakes that flash blue, green, and purple, depending on the lightening. Here I layered 2 coats of Première Neige over Essie Luxedo, a very dark, almost black plum creme.
And I can't resist adding a few bottle shots!
The flecks settle onto the bottom of the bottle. You have to shake it to suspend them in the polish base. |
Final verdict: Première Neige is a really delicate and classy shimmery top coat. I must admit I spent hours looking at the bottle and shaking it to see the multi-chromatic particles play or almost dance in the clear polish. It's very fascinating to watch! On the nails, it looks just amazing and the color shift is very interesting. Under strong light I saw mainly blue or green while the purple is seen more often in low lightening. It is very easy to apply and it looks shiny on its own.
Oh! while I'm at it...I got a Volupté Sheer Candy Glossy Balm from YSL Arty Stone Collection for Spring 2013. I took 12 Framboise Craquante. It's a sheer shimmery pink and it's my first YSL sheer candy glossy balm! As you might know, I'm a huge fan of tinted lip balms so I couldn't live without trying one of these YSL glossy balms. This tinted lip balm completely won my heart! It literally dresses the lips in a sheer veil of color and leaves the lips prefectly moisturized. The texture is very light and my lips feel just so healthy! I really like it! I nearly forgot to mention that it is mango scented, as all YSL lip products.
