Today I have some Nars products to show you. These were released this fall and there are some gems in there :D
I received 4 lip products: 2 Audacious lipsticks, one of their new Powermatte Lip Pigments and a lip liner; and 3 Velvet Shadow Sticks.
Let's start with the lip products.
I think everyone has heard about the Audacious Lipsticks. They're famous to be creamy and super comfortable and to offer an incredible color payoff.
For fall, 6 new colors were release, namely Aya (warm chocolate), Dayle (lavender gray), Kirat (deep bright purple), Linda (caramel), Louise (deep Crimson), and Vibeke (beige nude).
I got Aya, a beautiful dark chocolate hue and Linda a totally delicious caramel-colored lipstick! Both are super creamy but don't move around and wear well for about 5hours. They don't dry the lips and are rather moisturizing. So yes, the texture and feel is really nice, particulary amazing if you have dry lips.
I've worn Linda quite a lot this fall beause I really like the color, it's unique, original but not too crazy, I mean you can easily wear it everyday. Aya is also gorgeous but a tad too dark to make it an everyday lipstick.
Concerning the Powermatte lip pigments, I'm impressed. I have Warm Leatherette, a beautiful berry color.
The texture is really thin, easy to apply, it doesn't cling to dry patches, is not drying and looks absolutely stunning on the lips. It has a nice velvety finish. It's not 100% transfer-proof but it lasts quite well throughout the day. It lasts about 6 hours on me. Warm Leatherette also left a stain behind and therefore faded nicely.
I so like this formula (you can't feel it on your lips) that I might need to grab another color. If you like matte finishes but don't want something drying, I think it's an interesting option worth a try!
Precision Lip Liner in Cassis is the last lip product of this post and is actually a new range of lip liners from Nars. Cassis has an almost gel texture (kind of cushiony feel) and glides easily on the lips. It doesn't feel too dry and that's something I like for lip pencils. You can easily use it allover the lips or to just line them. Cassis is as the name suggests a blackcurrent color. It comes a bit too red in my picture, there is a bit more purple in it in real life.
These 3 are my first Velvet Shadow Sticks from Nars and again, I'm pretty impressed. They are particulary convenient if you want to do a quick eye makeup look. I've used these 3 sticks a lot these days: Nepal as a base, Corfu on the center of the lid, and Dark Angel in the crease. They are creamy and super easy to blend, plus they are nicely pigmented. So yes, pretty awesome eyeshadow sticks in my opinion.
So overall, I'm pretty impressed with the Powermatte lip pigment I've tried. I really like the formula and will probably grab another one (or 2 :D ). I also really like the Velvet Shadow Sticks, they're so convenient and I love how pigmented and blendable they are. Also super happy to have tried Linda because that's such a unique color that is actually very easy to wear!
