Beauty Days at Manor

11:31 PM

Hi everyone,

Last week was such a special week because I participated in the Beauty Days at Manor Geneva on Thursday and Saturday. This was a real honor and an amazing opportunity and everything was so amazing, it was like a dream! For those who don't know, Manor is one of the largest (if not the largest) department stores in Switzerland and it's a place I love to go to buy makeup, skincare or clothes. And oh yeah, their food section is also pretty incredible (I love their bread! :D )!

First a few words about the Beauty Days
The Beauty Days are organized twice a year and are special days at Manor where beauty is celebrated. There are lots of sales, contests, opprotunities to have your makeup done by pro artists for free, that's the best way to try new products in my opinion and I really like that they proposed such services! There was also a DJ, good music, and champagne. Everything to make a great party, right? And the atmosphere was really friendly and pleasant!

On the pictures, products I bought (except the Estée Lauder serum and the Nars eyeshadow that I recived as PR samples earlier)

On the first day, I had the chance to have my makeup done by a Lancôme artist and to discover their new products. Of course, I couldn't resist and bought the lipstick she used because it was such a pretty color and finish (juicy red!). And the lipstick was part of the new collaboration between Lancôme and Olympia Le-Tan (I love what she does!). The packaging of this whole collection is the cutest!
By the way, a special thanks to the amazing people at the Lancôme counter, they were all so friendly, it was a real pleasure to be there!

Then I did a lot of Instastories to show you my favorite products and my new discoveries. It's funny because I am very often at Manor but I discovered a lot of products I didn't know they had! For example, I didn't know that Bioderma was available at Manor. This was a great surprise because I love the brand but it's super difficult to find in Switzerland! So super happy to have discovered this!

I also tried a couple of products at the YSL counter and was convinced by their new concealer, I've been using it since I got it on Thursday and sincerely I'm impressed. It has a high coverage but doesn't look cakey at all, you can't see the product on your skin but it covers everything. Super impressive. I'll probably do a separate blog post about it because it seems so amazing! Their new primer (All Hours Primer) seems also great, it's formulated without silicones but still make your skin smooth and it's ligthweight to the point you can't feel anything on your skin. Again, the people at the counter were so nice and friendly! Honestly if I had to keep only one thing in mind, it would be that: everyone (at all counters) was so super nice, friendly, happy to talk about beauty, to give you advice and they were all just welcoming and genuinely sweet.

Finally I also had my makeup done (yes, again) at the Guerlain counter. I didn't know their makeup section that much so it was great to discover it. I really liked the new cushion foundation (it makes the skin perfect-looking but not heavy) and the new lip products: the intense liquid mattes and the kisskiss mattes.

On Saturday, I started by discovering the news at the Dior counter (you can read my article about them here) and had my makeup done with the new products. I've already told you but I absolutely love their new Rouge Dior Liquids (matte liquid lipsticks)! They're fantastic, matte but non drying and super comfortable. Again, lots of instastories to make you discover new products and show you my favorites! I also discovered the brand "Origins". It was launched at Manor 2 weeks ago. I've heard so much things about it so I was really curious and I need to get my hands on a few of their products - the mushroom line seems great by the way.

I also discovered the new Ecstasy Shine by Armani (if you like glossy lipsticks, they're for you) and the SA explained me the history and philosophy of Armani Beauty. This was really interesting and it's great to see people passionate about the products they work with! I've also discovered the new colored mascara at Estée Lauder counter and tried some of their new matte lipsticks available in 3 finishes: matte, metallic matte and sheer matte. Finally the brand -417 is back at Manor and I tried their magnetic mask, you know this kind of mask you have to remove with a magnet! Super fun!

Finally there was also a huge event concerning the Breast Cancer campaign that is dear to Estée Lauder's heart. The Estée Lauder Companies’ beauty brands support a very important mission to create a breast cancer-free world and raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you buy some of their Pink Ribbon Products, 20% of the price of the item will be given to the Breast Cancer Reasearch Foundation. This concerns Estée Lauder, Clinique, Bobby Brown, La Mer, etc.

I was also very happy to be able to share these 2 days with all of you on Instagram. There were many exchanges and it was really fun and another way to discuss and share our thoughts and experiences. So thanks to all of you who were there and a huge thank you to Manor for these incredible moments and once again a giant thank you to all the people present at the counters because everyone was amazing!

I leave you with a compliation of the stories I did during the event in case you missed them and want to see them. Sorry for the bad quality of the video, I couldn't transfer the video from my phone to my computer (I could only get the sound and not the image), that's why I filmed the screen of my phone with my camera :p

    1. Yes, this was such a great opportunity! :D
I need to get this new Genifique. At the moment, I'm using the advance night repair by Estée Lauder that also use Bifida ferment lysate as the Genifique, I'd love to compare them!

    1. In fact in Switzerland Sephora has some counters inside Manor. We don't have separate Sephora stores but they have counters inside this department store. This is a bit different than in other countries :D
