Etude House My Little Nut - Holiday Collection [Pink Box]

8:17 PM

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful, beautiful, and peacefull Christmas with your precious ones!

Today I have a review of Etude House's Holiday collection called "My Little Nut" (or "My Little Nutcracker").
I received some items in my December Pink Box as part of Etude House Pink Bird blogger/Youtuber programme (see my previous Pink Boxes here) and I must say that the whole collection is eye candy!

Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes - Lucky Red Little Nut

In this collection, there are 2 palettes: Wish Blue Little Nut (which is more cool-toned with brown and blue hues) and Lucky Red Little Nut (which is more warm-toned with brown, red, and coral hues).
I got Lucky Red Little Nut.

  • Hey Good Nut is a shimmery medium brown with warm undertones. I've used it for the outer V quite often. It can also be used to deepen the crease. That's a beautiful shade, nicely pigmented.
  • Merry Nut is a light pink with very fine glitters. When applied, pigmentation is rather weak and it shows mainly glitters. I like how the glitters look so I'm fine with that. It's easier to apply it with the fingers rather than with a brush.
  • Toffe Latte is a matte light beige. Pigmentation is not incredible but it's still decent.
  • Candy Fairy is a coral glittery shade with medium pigmentation.
  • Nut Cracker is a beautiful warm red, very pigmented.
  • Red Brick is a matte red brown, very pigmented.
Overall I think it's a very pretty palette with nice colors, some glitters, shimmery and matte shades. Pigmentation is decent and the colors are really pretty. I've tried the following look 2-3 times and really liked it! Toffee Latte on the whole lid as a base, Hey Good Nut for the outer V, Red Brick to deepen the crease and Merry Nut on the whole lid.

Etude House Play 101 Pencil #26 and Play 101 Blending Pencil #85

There are 3 Play 101 Blending Pencils in this collection, the 3 of them being in the "Jewel" family. I've already shown you some Blending Pencils here if you want to know more about this line.
For the regular Play 101 pencils, there are 2 available in the "glitter" formula.

For information, the Play 101 pencils have a sharpener included at the bottom of the pencil (but not the Play 101 Blending pencils).

Play 101 Pencil #85 is a dark brown shimmery shade. It's super gorgeous! I really like it!
Play 101 Blending Pencil #26 is an irridescent white. This might sound weird, but I've already lightly dabbed (rather added some product on my finger and dabbed it on the lips) #26 on my lips on top of a matte red liquid lipstick to add an iridescent touch and it actually looked nice! :D

Play 101 Pencil in #85 and Play 101 Blending Pencil in #26.

Etude House Lucky Cheek Beam in Coconut Coral

The Lucky Cheek Beam can be used as a blush, blush topper or highlighter depending on your skin tone. It has a creamy consistency, is shimmery and is available in 2 colors: Coconut Coral and Cashew Nut Beige.
I have Coconut Coral and it's a super pretty shimmery orange/coral shade. It's very easy to blend to create a wash of color with sparkles with gold undertones. I didn't expect to like it because of the peach color but finally after trying it, I think it looks very natural and not too crazy even with my fair cool-toned skin color. See swatches above in the Play 101 Pencils section.

The doe foot applictor allows for easy application. You can apply a few dots of product on the top of your cheeks and then blend either with your fingers or with a beauty blender.

Etude House Dear My Enamel Lips Talk

Finally this cute collection includes also 7 lipsticks in the Dear My Enamel Lips Talk formula (creamy and glossy lip colors). I got PK010 호두까기 인형 (Nutcracker doll). It's a redden pink with blue shimmer. As the previous Dear My Enamel Lips Talk lipsticks I've tried, it's glossy, nicely pigmented (although it's a semi-opaque color) and creamy. It feels very comfortable on the lips and it lasts 4-5h on me.

Comparison with Tom Ford Logan, a pink hue.

I also got a super cute make up bag. It looks super cute but the quality is great, I was impressed. And a set of 2 brushes. Again they look super cute but the blending brush is actually better than expected and you could easily create a whole simple eye look only with it. You can get the bag as a free gift if you buy some items from this collection on EtudeHouse.com.

Overall I really like this collection. The packaging is of course really pretty, beautiful and festive but the products are also great. The quality of the 2 pencils and lipstick is on point and I was also pleasantly surprised by the eyeshadow palette, colors are great and it's super easy to use for a simple everyday look! :D
