Essie - For the Twill of It

Hello,

I have swatches of essie fall collection called "For the Twill of It" and inspired by the textures and fabrics of the season.

For each polish, I used 2 coats to get full coverage and a nice and smooth finish. Application was very easy because they have a good formula.

After school boy blazer - It’s back to cool when you’re back in blue-black. This academy blue is the prep-school chic must of the season.
After school boy blazer is a very dark blue, almost black. That's the kind of polishes that looks very elegant and that I love mattifying! I have to try that ;D

Cashmere bathrobe - Cozy up to this cuddly soft, true flannel gray and you’ll never want to take it off. Who knew comfort could be so chic?
The first coat was a bit watery but it got opaque on the second coat without problem. I really like this gray for fall and have you seen those flecks? It looks so pretty and it does remind me of a cozy heathered sweater.

For the twill of it - Darling, you don’t need a reason to suit yourself in this compelling rich maple with reflective olive shimmer.
OK, I have to admit that I was not sure about the gray-purple duochrome because I have a more or less similar shade (Catrice - Iron Mermaiden) that I don't like because it's super brushstroke-y and difficult to apply. But For the Twill of It has a much better formula and finally once I had it on the nails, I just loved it! I didn't notice before that there was some green in there. In fact it shifts from purple to green and has a gray base. The green is very visible in the shade!

The lace is on - Get set and go in this glistening, jeweltoned pearlescent fuchsia and live life in the fast lane.
That's a pretty shimmery fuchsia that would look great associated with Cashmere bathrobe, After school boy blazer, or For the twill of it!

Twin sweater set- Too much of a good thing? Impossible. It’s double or nothing with this vibrant crimson red.
It may seems a common shade but surprisingly it's one of my favorites from this collection! That's the perfect shade of red for fall, not too bright and not too dark, just as it shoud be. Moreover, the formula was awesome, so easy to apply. I'm sure I'll wear it more than once this fall!

Vested interest - Stock up on the classics. This tweedy, woolen cool gray teal has sartorial style all buttoned up.
That's a quite unusual color and I love that! It's difficult to say if it's more teal than gray but whatever it's gorgeous!

Overall, I'm super happy with this collection. The colors are perfect for fall and all polishes have a good formula. Cashmere bathrobe, Twin sweater set, and Vested interest are my favorites, and you?
