Rouge Dior - Swatches

11:12 PM

Hello,

Maybe you remember the preview of Rouge Dior collection I showed you a few days ago? If you don't, you can view it HERE.
So today I have a few gorgeous products from this collection that will be released in September ;D

Rouge 999 is the perfect red color, emblematic of Dior House! And it's all about this gorgeous color that I will talk about in this post.
Let's start with the nail polish, called Rouge 999. It's a gorgeous medium red. It's a bit darker than Estée Lauder Pure Red but lighter than YSL Rouge Expressioniste. Formula is pure perfection, very nice consistency and easy to apply. It's very pigmented, opaque in 1 coat but I used 2 to make it looks better. It has a very slight shimmer running through it. I could only see it while applying the polish but it's not really visible one the nail when it's dry.

Second product is Rouge Dior lipstick in 999. The Rouge Dior formula is designed to be moisturizing, long-wearing, and comfortable to wear. It lasted about 5 hours on my lips and then I removed it but the lips were still stained. So nice lasting power. It also feels very comfortable on the lips and very moisturizing. It doesn't accentuate the dry patches you may have and doesn't dry the lips. The color is mostly opaque in one swipe, one pass across the upper lip and another on the bottom is all you need. I think it's my new favorite red lipstick. It's so creamy and easy to apply and I love that it's so comfortable to wear!

To go with the lipstick, we have a coordinate lip contour pencil! It's opaque and creamy and stay in place for hours. It also comes with a brush and a pencil sharpener. You can either use it alone and use the brush to get a smoother look or to coutour your lips before applying your lipstick.

On the picture below (left panel), I used only one swipe for the lipstick and lip pencil.

And last but not least, there are new products part of the Dior Manicure Abricot line to be released. I guess you already all know the Creme Abricot but now there will also be Huile Abricot (oil), Base Coat Abricot, Diorlisse Abricot (a ridge filling base coat), Top Coat Abricot and Dissolvant Abricot (acetone-free polish remover).
I tried the Huile Abricot. It's the daily nutritive serum version of Creme Abricot that instantly nourishes nails and cuticles. It's a bit similar to OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil. It's very handy, you can carry it with you and it does help a lot when it comes to moisturizing your cuticles. I like using it during the day because thanks to the little brush you can easily apply it only on your cutilces and leave your fingers free from product. So you can go on with your work. It does have a floral scent but it's not too strong. It holds 7.5 mL (0.25 fl.oz) of product.
