World Diabetes Day

11:27 AM

Hello!

November is diabetes awareness month and the 14th of November is considered as the World Diabetes Day. To support people suffering from the disease, some friends and I decide to wear a blue manicure on this special day since blue is the color that symbolize diabetes awareness. I posted this information on my FB page and a lot of people found the idea nice and agreed to wear blue today. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are supporting diabetic people!
For more information, you can have a look at the international diabetes federation web page here.

I chose to wear China Glaze Electric Beat that I received from the lovely Alaina of The Brrrds Nest as a base color. This polish is a one coater with a fantastic formula. It's very easy to apply. And I topped it with 1-1/2 coat of Lynnderella The Bride Turned Blue.
According to Lynnderella, The Bride Turned Blue is a new version of The Bride of Franken and contains electric blue multi-sized glitter (like the flaky glitter from Maybelline Colorama Lights of Lilac) with holographic rainbow dust, pink and blue sparks in a sheer periwinkle base. This polish is amazingly gorgeous! It's a bit difficult to show on pictures all its depth and awesomeness. It would be easier to see in over a darker color. Nevertheless, it looks amazing in real life! Some glitters look a bit yellow on my pictures. They are not yellow but iridescent. They somehow turn yellow when photographed.

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased from Lynnderella store on ebay. They are sold only within the USA so if you're living elsewhere, you'll need a friend in the US who can help you getting them. Thank you so much, Crystal <3

Here are pictures friends of mine wanted to share. They don't have a blog but also wanted to also be part of it! thank you, ladies <3

Here is what Red said about her manicure: "Girly Bits Roger That with Smurf Dance accent nail. Caught some sun today, which really played up the amazing holo in Roger That, and the stunning sparkly goodness of Smurf Dance". Both polishes are from Girly Bits. Look at that holo, it's mesmerizing! and Smurf Dance is so sparkly!
Thank you so much for sharing your picture, Red! Girly Bits can be purchased directly from Girly Bits, from Llarowe, or Harlow & Co.

And here is Bea's manicure. It's Anna Sui 110! What a lovely polish! and I'm officially fan of Bea's nails! Thank you for the share!
