I'm so excited to share this blog post with you today because I LOVE the product I'll show you: essence peel off base coat. This base coat is part of Ready For Boarding LE.
It's commonly admitted that glitter polishes are a pain to remove, aren't they? I personally love wearing glitters but somtimes I don't bother putting them on my nails because I fear the removal process that will follow when I want to change polish. BUT those days are over now thanks to essence peel off base coat! You can now take off your glitter polishes super easily! Moreover you don't have to use polish remover. I hate using polish remover because it smells so bad...
Of course, you can use this peel off base coat for any polish, creme, jelly, shimmer of whatever if you don't want to use polish remover. It's also very useful when you go on holiday and don't want (or can't) take a bottle of polish remover with you!
Here is a look at the bottle. The polish looks white and is quite thick.
On the bottle is written:
Instructions are the following:
"peel off base coat allows you to peel off your nail polish. Fast and easy change of colour and effect nail polish. This innovative solvent-free peel off base coat allows you to peel off your nail polish whenever you want, wherever you are! no remover required!"
Instructions are the following:
- Apply a generous layer of the peel off base coat to your nails. Allow approximately 10 minutes to dry until the white base coat becomes transparent.
- Paint your favourite colour nail polish and/or effect nail polish over it and let it dry.
- Simply peel off to remove! Does not harm to your nails.
- Advice: avoid hot water for 3 hours after application.
Immediately after I applied it, the nails look white, as if I had used a creme white polish.
After about 5-10 minutes, the base coat is dry and has become transparent. I took the following picture after about 2 minutes. My index finger is still white because I had to redo it :p
When it was completely dry, i.e. completely transparent, I did a sandwich manicure using OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! and Candeo South St. You can see this manicure here.
After 4 days, I removed it super easily, without polish remover. I just had to peel off the whole manicure and it was done!! I first peeled it off with a cuticle shaper but then I just did it with my hands. With the cuticle shaper, I pressed a bit too hard on my nails, which is not necessary.
The nails were not damaged at all! I just had to wash them with soap to clean everything and it was done! Sincerely I couldn't believe my eyes! It was so easy to remove these glitters! Normally it takes me so much time and effort and I get dizzy because of the polish remover fumes...here nothing! It's just perfect!!
The only downside of essence peel off base coat is that it's part of a LE! When I realized it was that great, I rushed to buy more of it but unfortunately it was already sold out everywhere. So pleaaaaase, essence, bring this peel off base coat in your regular range of products!
If it were easily available, I would use this base coat all the time, for all my manicures!
oh yeah, first I was a bit scared it would peel off at any moment, or chip easily but it didn't. I kept my manicure for 4 days and it was still perfect, without any chip!
A few bonus pictures, just because they look funny!
EDIT: someone on essence German FB page and also Taya in the comment here told me this peel off base coat will be part of the new Fall/Winter assortment! thank you, ladies! I've just seen this information on essence website here and you can also see the upcoming nail products they will release!! I'm so excited!!
