CLAIMS

This sunscreen provides also anti-aging and whitening effects in addition to its UV protection. That is why it’s called “Triple Care”, i.e. anti-aging, whitening and UV protection!
Its powerful waterproof function makes it suitable for outdoor activities. Formulated with sunflower oil and Jeju green tea extract, it keeps skin moisturized while also providing protection against environmental stress. This is a mineral sunscreen (titanium dioxide, zinc oxide).

 

 

 

HOW IT LOOKS, FEELS, SMELLS
The product comes in a 50mL squeezable plastic tube that is convenient to carry around, it’s simple but effective.
The product itself is a beige cream. The texture is a bit thick but really creamy and is easy to spread. Although it’s a nano mineral sunscreen, I find that it does leave a white cast.
I’ve actually used the Triple Care for years -it was my favorite for years and I stopped counting how many tubes I’ve used up. That said, during the past 2 years or 1.5 years I decided to try other sunscreens, just because I love testing new products. And that’s only a couple of months ago that I ordered the new formulation of the triple care (the Intensive Triple Care Sunscreen, version 2019) on Jolse. In the past, I didn’t find the white cast to be really present, but now I find that it is definitely present. I’m not sure if this is due to the new formulation that shows more white cast or if this is due to my change of perception after trying other sunscreens. I have the impression the new formulation has more white cast though (almost pretty sure of it but don’t have an old tube to compare). Anyway, for me who am quite fair, this is not an issue but I guess if you’re darker than MAC NC15/20, it will be much more visible.

I don’t find that it leaves a sticky or goopy feeling on the skin. It’s absorbed quite fast and layer well with primer and makeup.

I didn’t notice any particular scent.

This is a mineral sunscreen containing Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, both under nano form, i.e. they’re supposed to cause less whitening and a better skin coverage. Also present is Butyloctyl Salicylate which is a sunscreen booster/stabilizer that can help increase the SPF performance of sunscreens (although it’s not a sunscreen agent per se). It's also cosmetically elegant, has excellent spreadability and a pleasant, moisturizing skin feel. Apart from the sunscreen active ingredients, it also contains niacinamide (hence the whitening aka brightening properties claims) and many botanical extracts with antioxidant properties.

 

 

FINAL THOUGHTS

What I like about this serum is the high protection, that it is sebum- and water-resistant, that it is quite unexpensive and relatively easy to find. My skin tolerates it well, I never experienced any bad reaction to it. It doesn’t have any particular scent and is quite easy to spread. One negative point though is that it leaves a white cast. This might be OK if you’re fair but if you’re medium or darker, you can almost forget about it. Overall I find it pretty neatly formulated and I like it (as I don’t mind the white cast that much considering I’m pale and follow with foundation). A last point, it’s supposed to be moisturizing, but I’m not sure about it. I’m normal to combo and for some reasons it makes the skin on my nose peel which is a bit annoying (the rest of my face is OK, I didn’t notice anything). For this last reason and the white cast, I decided to try another sunscreen from Innisfree, the Daily Sensitive Sunscreen. That said, because it’s such a gentle sunscreen that my skin can tolerate, I may and will probably repurchase it. I find it difficult to find a sunscreen that my skin tolerates.

HOW IT LOOKS, FEELS, SMELLS
The product comes in a 50mL rigid plastic bottle that is convenient to carry around as it looks really small although you get 50mL. The bottle is really compact.

Contrarily to the Triple Care which is a cream, the Daily Sensitive is an essence. Its texture is more fluid and lightweight. When you apply it, you can immediately feel a fresh sensation. As the texture is thin, it’s very easily absorbed and easy to spread. The white cast is really minimal. I have almost the impression to use a chemical sunscreen. This sunscreen is really cosmetically elegant and easy to wear.

It has a slight scent, not sure what it is, but it probably comes from the botanical extracts used.
