Stick sunscreens have been super popular this summer and it feels like if you haven't tried one of them, you're really missing something. I was a bit hesitant at first because the only sunstick I've tried was some year ago and it pilled so badly (it was from the brand Daylong, apart from this stick Daylong is a great brand that said). Then I saw that It's Skin had a new range of sunscreens including a mineral sunstick. I usually find difficult to find a mineral sunstick, most of them are chemical sunscreens. So when I saw it, I immediately decided to get it!

WHAT IS IT?
This is a sunscreen in a stick format. It's convenient when you travel as it's solid and great to put it in your purse. Often with liquid sunscreens, you get some product on the package and it can quickly become a mess when you have to put it again in your bag. Here it's easier and cleaner.

You can swipe it across your face and you're done. I like to pat it down a bit but that's not necessary which is also convenient when you're outdoors and don't want to touch your face with your fingers.

 

It's a 100% mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide).

 

 

 

 

HOW IT LOOKS / FEELS / SMELLS
This is a stick sunscreen housed in a pretty pink packaging. When you remove the pink cap, there is a protection on top of the stick.

 

It's a solid white stick that leaves some product behind when you rub it with your finger or apply it on your skin. What's left on your skin is a silky smooth balm. It doesn't look white, just transparent.

It doesn't feel sticky. You can't actually really see it, but it makes the skin a bit more matte/velvety. Importantly you don't have to press very hard to apply the product, it's creamy enough for an easy application but not too creamy to the point it gets messy. It's a balm consistency.

So overall I really like how smoothly it applies. Moreover when I follow with foundation, it doesn't pill.

 

In terms of scent, it does have a scent. You can smell it when you apply the stick and for 2-3min and then it dissipates. It doesn't contain synthetic fragrance but the scent comes from the various flower or plant oil extracts (orange, basilic, rose-scent geranium, Siberian fir, patchouli, ylang-ylang). To my nose it's a mix of rose and fir scent. It's a scent I find calming. It's not a very strong scent but it's there.
