Fenty Beauty arrives in Switzerland - review and swatches of some iconic products

Fenty Beauty is now available in Switzerland at Manor/Sephora, in store and on-line! What amazing news!
About the brand
As you all know, Fenty Beauty was created by the queen Rihanna. The name of the brand comes from her own family name, Fenty.
Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty—and still seeing a void in the industry for products that performed across all skin types and tones. She launched a makeup line “so that women everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.
Fenty Beauty products are designed to feel lightweight, even as they deliver buildable coverage that effortlessly layers, to ultimately “make skin look like skin.” Most importantly, Rihanna creates makeup to inspire: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with,” she says. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
Gloss Bomb
Fenty Glow lip gloss is a high shine nude lip gloss. The color is suposed to be flattering for any skin tone and I also do believe it looks amazing on fair and darker skin colors, on warm as well as on cool undertones.
The texture feels really moisturizing because it contains a good amount of sea butter. Even if you have dry, chapped lips, it will still look amazing and will not emphasize this issue. Great for fall and winter actually...!
It has a peachy-vanilla scent that I find a bit addictive...It really makes the lips fuller and overall healthier.
This is the perfect everyday non-sticky lip gloss. Honestly if you want to pick one item to try the brand, that's the one I would recommend!
For the swatches below, I applied it over Mattemoiselle Spanked but you can also wear it on its own. But I like the combo that's why I wanted to show you this look :)
Mattemoiselle Lipstick
This is a "matte" long wearing lipstick formula housed in an ultra slim packaging.
Finish is velvety (not 100% matte), it's super pigmented (1 swipe in my arm swatches, I did 2 swipes one next to each other but the color payoff = 1 swipe), it glides on the lips without tugging. It find it surprisingly comfortable for a velvet/matte lipstick. I first thought the formula was kind of similar to Bourjois The Rouge Velvet lipsticks (reviewed here) but when I swatch them side by side, The Mattemoiselles are a bit more pigmented and slightly less matte, there is a liiiiittle bit of shine on the Mattemoiselles that you don't have on the Bourjois. I find them a bit more creamy actually.
This is overall a great satin formula for people who don't like super matte/drying lipsticks but still like the look of velvety lips. I also love the color range with some crazy colors. Here I have Spanked, a beautiful nude color.
Stunna Lip Paint
This is a lightweight, long wearing (they claim 12h) liquid lipstick with a soft velvet-matte finish.
The color payoff is incredible, it's really really pigmented! The texture is on the watery side. The applicator is quite unique but allows for precise application. That said, due to the watery and super pigmented formula, I find a bit difficult to apply it directly without lip liner.
That's a stunning red, again universally flattering. It feels comfortable on the lips. I haven't used it for a full day yet so I can't say if it lasts indeed 12h but it seems to last pretty well.
The Highlighters
OK, this is getting serious here with the highlighters :D
I got Trophy Wife, already an iconic highligher due to its unique yellow gold extra sparkly finish! This highligher is super pigmented and full of glitters. Applied with the finger it's almost 100% opaque, applied with a brush you get a more diffused look with lots of glitters.
Next we have one of the Killawatt foils (more metallic than the regular Killawatt highlighters): the combo Mimosa Sunrise/Sangria Sunset. This another totally unique highlighter combo. I've never seen such bright colors for highlighters and I was at first a bit worried it wouldn't work for my fair skin (such colors look amazing on dark skin tones for sure!). But surprisingly it looks...amazing. When you use it with the Cheek Hugging Highlight Brush it diffuses the color perfectly and gives a super smooth and pretty look. It makes a kind of blushed look that I really like. So yes, this one was a totally surprise for me! Of course you can also use them as eyeshadows :D
I've also got myself the new Diamond Bomb. This is a real diamond-looking highlighter. It has a tone of glitters in it! It's almost all glitters but not exactly as the glitters are really fine. The texture feels almost like a cream product and leaves a wet effect on the skin. That's also something I find quite unique. You can use it for the face and for the body.
The Flyliner
It's a pigmented black liquid liner with a glossy finish. The formula is watery, maybe a tad bit too much watery in my opinion. It takes 2-3 seconds to dry down and then when it's dry it doesn't move at all! It's stay put all day. It's waterproof by the way.
The tip is really fine and the product glides easily along the lash line. I like it because I find it easy to apply, the tip is precise and it glides effortless but it's not my all time favorite liquid liner. I find it less pigmented that the Diorshow on Stage Liner for example and that's why I prefer the Dior one.
Primer and Foundation
The primer is a creamy pore-diffusing primer that prolongs the wear of the foundation. In terms of texture and feel, it really looks like a moisturizing yet lightweight cream more than a primer. But it does even the skin out and makes it smoother. It also mattifies it but it's more a natural matte effect than a drying type of mattifying effect if that makes sense. Overall I really like it, it might even be one of my favorite primers.....let's wait and see!
I expected the foundation to be drying and heavy according to what I had heard but on me it's not how I feel it. It's a velvety type of foundation with medium to high coverage. As I'm more into light to medium coverage I only used a very small amount of foundation and stretch it across the face with a brush and....I'm impressed. I actually really like how it looks, it makes the skin perfect, it hides imperfection but still makes the skin looks natural. I don't find it heavy at all, it's in fact really natural! I'm honestly super impressed and happy about it!
Finally we have the Invisimatte Blotting powder but I haven't tried it yet (I'm testing a new Nars powder at the moment) so I can't comment on it, sorry! I'll start using it tomorrow and will give you an update next week on Instagram!
If I had to recommend just a couple of products, it would be the gloss and the foundation. Then if you like high impact highlighters The Mimosa Sunrise/Sangria Sunset is incredible!
