Dior Vernis Gel Effect - Pandore & Palais Royal
9:44 PMHello,
I'm super excited to show you 2 new Dior polishes that will join Dior permanent collection! As you already probably know (otherwise see HERE), Dior will launch a new line of polishes that will replace the current Vernis assortment. The particularity of the new polishes: a new formula with a gel effect look + a new brush! So let's have a look!
Dior nail polishes are free of phthalates, toluene, formaldehyde and synthetic camphor.
Palais Royal is a gorgeous mixture of brown and grey in a perfect creme formula. It has a very fine shimmer (Dior typical shimmer) but it's not very visible on the nail once the polish is dry. The color is beautiful. In my opinion, it's a must-have color because it looks elegant, sophisticated, and appropriate with any outfit or occasion. That's the kind of colors that will looks more brown or grey according to your skintone.
I used 2 coats plus top coat.
Pandore is an absolutely delicious red creme with Dior typical very fine shimmer. That's a very bright red with some orange undertones. It looks so fresh and stunning! That's such a perfect shade for summer! It's very pigmented (but it doesn't stain the nails) and opaque in 1 coat. Because I took close-up pictures, I used 2 coats here.
The formula of Palais Royal and Pandore was similar and sensational! Unlike real gel polishes, the viscosity of the new Dior polishes is not thick and easy to work with. Do not expect them to give your nails the typical thick look that real gel polishes usually give. That's something I personally appreciate because I don't like thick formula. It's a bit hard for me to say if they are more glossy than the previous Dior polishes because I think they already dried to a rather glossy look. In conclusion, the new Dior formula is divine, very easy to work with but not thick as gel polishes. They dry to a glossy finish.
The brush is also different from the previous Dior polishes. It's a wide flat rounded-at-the-tip brush. With this brush, it's very easy to paint your nails, even if you're a beginner. You can paint your nails in one single swipe! I love this brush, it's so convenient to use!
In the picture below, I have one coat of Pandore on all nails (except on the nail I'm painting where I'm applying the second coat) and the picture was taken before cleanup, just to show you how it's easy to paint your nails with this new brush.
