Estée Lauder - Molten Metals (Fall 2013)

8:37 PM

Hello,

This fall is all about metallic shades and following the trend, Estée Lauder launched a collection called Molten Metals. I have already written about this collection a bit in a previous post that you can see HERE if you missed it but today I have swatches of 2 polishes from this collection, Rose Gold and Metallic Green.
Both polishes dry to a satin finish. They have a brushed metal finish and are very pigmented. You can use only 1 coat to get full opacity. The disadvantage of them is that they show every imperfection of your nails. Therefore, you should wear a ridge filling base coat underneath. Believe it or not, I don't have any ridge filling base coat!! So I wore them with a regular base coat. To show you the satin finish, I didn't use top coat for the photos.
Rose Gold is an antic pink with a touch of gold in it.

Metallic Green

As they are so well pigmented, I tried Rose Gold for stamping and it works perfectly well!! I tried it over a plain black creme (Essie Licorice). Can you see how it pops against the dark base! In real life, it was even more spectacular! The plate I used is Cheeky jumbo plate C. I loved it so much that I wore this manicure for almost a full week and I'm sure I'll try something similar again in the future!

Here I used top coat.

What do you think about these polishes? Personally, I love them! They look very pretty on their own but I think I love them even more for stamping! Because they are so pigmented, they work wonderfully well and you can easily get a crisp design even on dark colors!
The other colors from this collection are: Smoked Chrome, Midnight Metal, Chocolate Foil, Steel Orchid, Brushed Gold, and Chrome Violet. Now that I love them so much, I want to get Midnight Metal (bright blue), and  Chrome Violet ;D
